CTI development project Laser cladding of white metal

Innovation is an important part of our business culture. This is why Stellba has always been involved in development projects in collaboration with leading universities such as EMPA, ETH, the University of Bern, and universities of applied sciences.

Stellba is currently developing novel solutions for industrial laser cladding of white metal as part of a CTI project* in collaboration with Swiss universities. Primary applications include oversized bearings. Newly developed material combinations enable the production of more resistant white metal bearings and efficient new repair processes. The new technologies developed by Stellba offer major economic and environmental benefits, as production to final dimensions reduces losses due to excess material, as is the case with casting.
